01 — Preamble
BNV Interpreting & Translating Services (“BNV”, “we”, “our”) operates a professional linguistic practice serving law firms, corporations and private clients across the State of Florida. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and safeguard information you provide through our website and intake channels, in alignment with applicable federal and Florida state law.
02 — Minimal Data Collection
We deliberately limit the data we collect to what is strictly necessary to evaluate and deliver our services. The website intake form gathers only: full name, professional email address, telephone number and a brief description of the matter or activity. When you submit an audio file or document for evaluation, only the file itself and metadata required for technical triage are received.
We do not collect government identifiers, financial information or sensitive personal data through the website. No tracking cookies or third-party advertising pixels are used; only first-party analytics cookies governed by your consent (see “Cookies” below).
03 — Strict Purpose Limitation
Information submitted through the intake form is used solely for: (i) initial forensic triage and strategic assessment of audio, translation or interpretation requests; (ii) preparation of a written scope and engagement proposal; and (iii) direct professional correspondence regarding your matter. We do not sell, rent, license or otherwise disclose your information for marketing or commercial purposes.
04 — Confidentiality & Legal Privilege
All matters are handled under strict professional confidentiality. Where the engagement arises in the context of actual or anticipated litigation, BNV treats communications and work product as protected to the fullest extent permitted under applicable attorney work-product and common-interest doctrines. Non-disclosure agreements are executed on request prior to file transfer.
05 — Storage, Retention & Disposal
Audio files, transcripts and translated documents are stored on access-controlled systems and retained only for the period required to complete the engagement and to satisfy applicable record-keeping obligations. Upon written request, or upon completion of the agreed retention period, files are securely and permanently deleted from active and backup environments.
06 — Disclosure
We disclose information only: (a) to the client who submitted it; (b) to court personnel or counsel of record where required to perform the engagement; or (c) where compelled by a lawful subpoena, court order or other valid legal process issued by a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of Florida or the United States.
07 — Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have submitted, by writing to bnvinterpreting@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and, in any event, within the timeframe required by applicable Florida and federal consumer-privacy statutes.
08 — Cookies
We use a limited set of first-party cookies to analyze website traffic and optimize your experience. Where consent is requested through the on-site notice, aggregated, non-identifying data may be combined with other visitor data to improve site performance. You may decline at any time without loss of access to our services.
